Had a fabulous time in Santa Fe, is a place I would love to spend a few days in. Moth likened it to Ubud without the monkeys & humidity so therefore he wasn't too impressed but he did fine the ice cream store & from what others tell me he found it a few times. Did a trolley tour when we first arrived which took us through the residential area as well as the artists trails before dropping us back to the village. I got to chat with a few native American Indians in the village square & they were Navajo too, i was really impressed with their fine handcrafted wares, particularly The architecture here is very much Pueblo inspired dating back to the 1700 when the Spanish had a leading hand in the area. Santa Fe is a great place to people what & I hear a regular haunt for many a celebrity as many films are made in the area. We had lunch sitting on the grass in the town square listening to Mariachi groups playing...Moth has a case-o-beer aka Quesadilla & I had a Carnita loaded with chilli, very authentic that we purchased from a road side vendor, actually cooked by the side of the road just like in Bali....fantastic meal! Later caught up with some others & sat in a local cantina to people watch & had a beer or few....a very nice yellow Lamborghini pulled up right in front of us & yep got the pic! Went into the Basillica Santa Francis of Assessis on the way out, beautiful architecture. Off to a formal dinner tonight atHigh Finance Restaurant at Sandia Peak.... More later Hoo Roo
